Destruction mechanism allows for the deletion

In SAP ILM, once the retention period has ended, the destruction mechanism allows for the deletion of both the data and associated ArchiveLink attachments.
Is it also possible to delete the corresponding Extended ECM (xECM) business workspace and its documents when the linked SAP document—such as a purchase order number—is destroyed as part of the ILM process?

ILM is a distinct retention strategy designed specifically for SAP data archiving. While unstructured data may still reside on a shared archiving platform like Archive Center, deleting xECM business workspaces and their attachments—which are stored in the Content Server—requires implementing Records Management (RSI) within the Content Server itself.

To ensure proper alignment, RSI must be configured with retention rules that match the ILM-defined retention periods for the corresponding SAP-referenced data. This ensures consistency between the SAP document (e.g., purchase order) and its associated business workspace in xECM.
