Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced OpenText SME to provide technical leadership, strategic guidance, and hands-on expertise in managing and implementing OpenText-based solutions (such as OpenText B2B, Trading Grid, VIM, Content Server, or Exstream). The SME will play a critical role in designing, integrating, and optimizing OpenText platforms in alignment with enterprise architecture and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Expertise
• Serve as the go-to expert for OpenText solutions including (but not limited to): OpenText B2B Managed Services, Trading Grid, VIM (Vendor Invoice Management), Content Suite, InfoArchive, and Exstream.
• Evaluate existing EDI/B2B architecture and propose optimization/migration strategies.
• Configure, deploy, and support OpenText components and connectors.
• Provide in-depth troubleshooting for OpenText-related issues, including performance, integrations, and data flows.
2. Solution Design & Integration
• Design scalable and maintainable OpenText solutions aligned with business needs.
• Integrate OpenText systems with ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce.
• Define best practices for document management, metadata modeling, workflows, and records retention.
3. Migration & Transformation
• Lead or support migration projects (e.g., from legacy systems to OpenText or from OpenText to MuleSoft).
• Perform data mapping, transformation, and testing for partner onboarding or content migration.
• Assist in defining transformation strategies from OpenText to cloud-native or API-led integration platforms.
4. Stakeholder & Project Support
• Collaborate with business analysts, enterprise architects, and other SMEs to gather requirements.
• Provide project estimations, timelines, and documentation.
• Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for internal teams and partners.
5. Governance & Compliance
• Ensure all implementations adhere to compliance, security, and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Establish documentation for solution architectures, workflows, SOPs, and audit logs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with OpenText products and technologies.
• Deep knowledge of EDI/B2B standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT), AS2, FTP, SFTP protocols.
• Experience with OpenText Trading Grid and Managed Services.
• Proficiency in XML, XSLT, JSON, Web Services (SOAP/REST).
• Strong understanding of system integrations with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
• Familiarity with integration platforms like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or SAP PI/PO is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
