Enterprise scan can OCR data from scanned document

Anyone one know if Enterprise scan can OCR data from scanned document, like PO number or Invoice no (the scanned document is pretty generic and electronic and the area of the document, from where data needs to be extracted is almost on same location of document. Is there any configuration to achieve and used as index/metadata.
Some years back, i did this, i do no really remember exactly, but i think its possible

No, Enterprise scan can’t do OCR or extract the data from the document… but can allow to enter the details manually in the fields.
we should use OCR tools for your requirement..

With older escan versions.. I have used a ocr plugin to extract text from a fixed location.. not sure if plugin is still available for latest escan
