Short answer: you don’t have to put anything special in the control file to “inherit” Categories & Attributes. Object Importer will create the document and the Category behavior will follow whatever the parent folder is configured to do. The default inheritance behavior comes from the parent object.

• To inherit: just import the docs under a folder that already has the Category with inheritance; don’t specify on the doc import.

Plenty of examples on the content server help. Use same to train chatgpt or copilot it will even genrate control file batch script ?
